Q Were you also acquainted with Justin’s younger brother?
A Justin always had Joey with him. They were kind of a package deal. Justin babysat Joey while his dad was at work or out, which was pretty much most of the time. Joey’s a good boy.
Q Were you aware of how long Justin had been babysitting his brother?
A Yes.
Q How did you learn this? From where did you get this information?
A From Justin.
Q What was it you were told?
A Justin said he had been babysitting his brother since their mother left. Joey was only two-years-old, and Justin was about six or seven when she took off. So, what is that, ten or eleven years. That was my understanding.
Q Did you see Justin and Joey often?
A Daily.
Q Did they have some routine in visiting your home?
A Mealtime.
Q Then the boys regularly ate with your family?
A Yes, they did. They were good boys. I felt bad for them, not having their mother. I don’t think their dad was much of a homemaker either. The kids didn’t eat but fast food and Denny’s, and Mike would send grocery money over.
